Beach House

Main

Casa Creando Olas sits right on the beautiful, deserted beach of La Saladita, in Los Llanos, a little surfing town about 45 minutes northwest of Zihuatanejo. The house is very open to the natural surroundings so that guests can enjoy beach living to the fullest. It was constructed using local materials — the outsized palaypa that covers the main portion of the house is truly a work of art and craftsmanship. The front doors are reclaimed from a demolished 1600’s church in a local town in the mountains. All the latches, handles and hinges throughout the house were made by a third-generation blacksmith using some of his grandfather’s molds.

While our goal was to create a house that harmonized with its surroundings and provided the closest experience to camping on the beach, we made sure to include some creature comforts and amenities. Casa Creando Olas has amazingly comfortable beds in all bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have air conditioning, if you choose to close up the room and turn it on. There’s a 50-foot pool, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off after surfing. We have supplied you with free WI-FI service for internet connection. A wonderful couple lives on the property full time to care for the grounds, provide daily maid service, and cook breakfast.
